| manga's Full Review: GE 2-9921 900MHz Cordless Phone |
Perhaps the best thing I can say about my GE 2-9921 cordless phone is that I don't notice what's wrong with it. That's because that it doesn't have any glaring omissions or annoyances that continue to bother me like some phones i have owned. It's easily the nicest 900 MHz cordless phone that I have owned.
When people shop for phones, they don't often notice the little things that make their life a little easier when it comes to everyday use. If you use a phone a lot, ease of use should be as large a factor as quality of sound when making the purchase.
This particular model supports hands-free operations. While it sounds like a novelty at first, it is really useful if you do a lot of work with your hands when you are talking on the phone. Hands-free is wonderful for those tech support calls where the operator asks you to check in back of a piece of equipment; it's just a lot easier to maneuver when you have two hands. In the same way, it's useful when you need to find a pesky serial number and don't want to put the phone down or do the phone sandwich with your ear and shoulder.
You can turn the ringing off at the handset for those times you don't want to be bothered or you happen to be in a room with another phone. And although it isn't the smallest phone, it has a battery that lasts very long. Range is standard for a 900MHz phone and clarity is excellent - I use mine in the presence of electronic devices with minimal degradation.
This phone is great for hands or hands-free use is suited well for everyday use.
