The Sony Mini Disc recorder/player is an excellent product to buy for those keeping up with the trends. First time I saw this product was at 12:00 midnight on MTV. My fiancee then was amazing at the smile I produced that she saved up to buy me one on our 2nd Christmas together back in 1984.
The minidisc is excellent for all active and non active persons. It allows you to edit your own music and listen to CD quality tunes. The recorders can be plugged into anything that produces music or can be hooked to a microphone as you produce your own music or just tapping your college class for later review.
To date I am still using the same minidisc player and have had no problems with the system. It came with a re-chargable battery that I have not had to change and an adapter for conventional batteries. The system runs longer on batteries than any other CD player I have seen or had. The quality comes out clearer and to date have experienced no skips what so ever.
This is a product that I would highly suggested as your next Christmas stoking stuffer.
