Palmcorder Panning

Jan 29 '00

My husband bought my first camcorder, Christmas 1998. My Panasonic PV-A228 was within our budget (approx $300) and it takes great movies. I used on our trip to Hawaii in August of 1999 and the close ups and scenery shots were great.

I like the compactness of the unit and the ease of loading the film. It is also so convenient to pop the film into the cassette carrier and right into my VCR. I have found it is handy to have an extra carrier, but they run about $30 each.

When I started using my palmcorder, I thought I had to hold it, until I discovered the use of a tripod, now that seems to be the best, at least steadiest, fashion of taking movies. This Christmas I left the camera running throughout the gift opening process with our family. I am very happy with this camera.
