I live in Fairfield County, and signed up for Sprint because I like to call out of state, but the problem I have with Sprint is that I can't even get a signal, so calling someone is really just a dream of mine. I live less than 1 mile from the expressway so I thought I would be in a coverage zone for sure.. Nope. Work is about 1 mile from the expressway too, no coverage. The route 7 corridor? Spotty. North of 84? Fat chance. So this is definitely not the phone to have for emergencies in this part of the state. It's just too hilly to get a consistent strong signal.
What I did like about Sprint is that I could return the phone if it wasn't working out. I returned it and had no problems or extra fees. So if you want to try one out, get one and go around the area that you'll use it. If it works, great, if it doesn't, then return it.
Its too bad, I thought it was a good plan. But I think it will be awhile before their coverage improves in this half of the state.
