This is by far my favorite channel. I didn't start watching it when my cable company first added it, I figured, I live in a condo...what do I care about Homes and Gardens? But I noticed a couple of show titles in the TV Guide and was intrigued. This channel covers every possible subject in most of our lives. There are shows on decorating, decorating on a tight budget, cooking, landscaping, room additions, home improvement, fix up shows for home repair, crafting shows, and even specials like a show they had on motor homes and the people who live on the road. Then there's a favorite of mine on Sunday evenings at 8:30pm, called Extreme Homes..I love to see what they come up with--there are some pretty bizarre homes out there!
Usually when we're watching regular network shows and get bored, the first thing we click on is HGTV..there's ALWAYS something worth watching.
I like the crafting shows, because I am a creative person and like to see things like gifts I can make myself, and my husband and I both watch (and tape) the fix-up shows, as our condo has plenty of work to be done. All in all, you can't miss with HGTV..I hope our cable outfit never removes it and if they do, they're gonna hear from me!
