A great mix of gadgetry and practicality

After looking around at various cell phones, I settled on the Nokia 5100 series. To me, the important features of the cell phone include ease of use and battery life. The Nokia wins in both categories. With Standby time that is said to last up to a week (and actually does!), and hours of talk time, this is a cell phone that you won't have to recharge every single night. I'm not a business user, but I use about 300 minutes a month, and I recharge it every week and a half.
The phone book is great, I can assign a phone number to any of the numbered keys, and to dial it, I just hold down that number. I can the past ten people that called me, the past 10 people that I dialed, and other such logs.
One of the best features of the phone is its one button operation. Using only the power button I can select the ringing tones between normal mode, quiet (for meetings), and silent modes, that will match in any situation. This has been infinitely helpful for me, and helped me avoid embarrassing moments.
Containing 3 games, including Snake, Memory, and Mastermind, the Nokia will keep you busy during drawn out meetings. Optional colorful covers for the Nokia can make the phone a fashion statement. Though they are typically expensive, it also means that if the phone is scratched, cracked or otherwise cosmetically damaged, it is very easy to fix it.
The phone is very small and light, and the antenna doesn't extend, which makes for an even small profile.
The one feature I REALLY miss is the lack of a call timer function. There is no way to see how long you have been talking for on the phone.
With its combination of ease-of-use, features, and sleek design, the Nokia sets a new standard for cell phones.
