| Bradman's Full Review: Creative Labs Nomad II (64MB) MP3 Player |
I've had my Nomad II for about 2 months now and I still love it. I originally had the Sony Music Clip but I returned it because of the freaky copy protection software (won't let you backup your collection). The Nomad II is a great little player and the new firmware upgrades from Creative have kept it up to date. I can fit over an hour of music at 128kbs and the USB transfers only take a minute. I have noticed that it will drain a battery if you just leave it around so I remove the battery when I am not using it. The sound is good and the controls are easy to adjust without looking. The FM tuner is OK but I notice the stations fading in and out as I mow the lawn (could be my headphone cord though). I love the no-skip feature, that is the main reason I got an MP3 player. No matter how much bouncing around you do the music sounds great. The new Sony CD Discmans are supposed to have much better skip protection, but nothing beats NO moving parts. I am debating getting the docking station for it, which includes rechargeable batteries.
