Crystal Clear Choice

Pros:Great image quality, vertically flat, S-Video Input
Cons:sound quality is average

The Sony KV-27V40 is one of the best 27" televisions available in its price range. The Trinitron screen is very pleasing to the eye and its controls are intuitive to use. While you can get 27" TV's for less, their image quality is often inferior to that of the Sony. This model also has S-Video inputs which is a boon to anyone thinking about getting a DVD player, allowing them to benefit from the increased picture quality that DVD's offer. If you have the extra, think about getting the new Sony WEGA models, they have a completely flat screen instead of the horizontally curved screen of the traditional Trinitron models. This improves the image quality but is more expensive.

The sound quality is passable, not great, but not bad. It's fine for watching TV, but for really watching movies, you'll want to connect it to a external stereo.
