Pros:Good Sound, Great Headphones
Cons:Weak Battery Life and Weak FM Performance

Purchased the product at two places. First the bare unit (Nomad II 0MB) with no memory for $99 at www.ecost.com. The memory card (64MB Smartmedia Card) for $130 including shipping at www.buy.com. Total about $245.

Experience has been mixed. Battery life is good, but not as good as advertised. I get about 5 hours per battery instead of the seven. Headphones are great (I love the behind the head design -- because you can wear hats, glasses, etc while wearing the "backphones"). The GUI system on the unit is good but navigation could be just a little easier. The shortcomings on the product are the volume (just not quite loud enough for use when cutting the grass, etc. -- fine for jogging.) and the FM tuner. I can't seem to pick up even very good local stations on this machine. It needs a better antenna or something. The software is adequate at best, but could be much improved. Ships with MusicMatch Jukebox, which is much better than the Nomad Manager software. However, it locks up constantly, usually in the transfer mode. Which produces a skip like sound and messes up the song it bombed on.

Pros:
1. Compact
2. Good Design
3. Great Sound Quality
4. Great Headphones
5. Good remote

Cons:
1. Battery Life could be better
2. Software could be better
3. FM Tuner is awful

Overall this is a great unit that I recommend. There is no better mp3 player on the market at the current time. S3's RIO is pretty good and getting better. However, by the time it comes out a newer Nomad will be out.
