| judyjewel's Full Review: EchoStar 3720 Dish Network System |
I have canceled my cable subscription for good. Why? Satellite T.V. is the future brought to us today by Dish Network.
Recently, I saw an ad in the newspaper to turn in your cable bill and receive a satellite dish and free installation. I was skeptical, knowing that there is always a catch. But, after I spoke with a customer representative from Dish Network, I was convinced to give it a try. With as little as 25.00, to pay for miscellaneous expenses, I received the satellite dish and the Echo Star system.
From the very first time I turned on the satellite I knew that this is what I've been looking for. The picture is crystal clear and the system is easy to understand and use. If you have any questions, go to the menu and you can easily obtain all the information you want. The menu on the Echo Star system lets you obtain all your favorite channels and also the channels are conveniently grouped in themes like family, sports, movies, and others.
If you like pay-per-view, the choices are countless. Unlike cable with just a few movies and times the Dish Network offer a variety of movies from early in the morning to late-night. Also, there are countless sporting events you can order, from baseball games that are blacked out to soccer from around the world.
Now, Dish Network also provide local channels for a fee under $5 and numerous movie packages and sports packages. I recommend the movie package with the Showtime, TMC, and Sundance channels. There is a movie for everyone in your family and the variety of the movies is what my wife and I enjoy. The only package I don't recommend is the Fox Sports package, because basically what you are paying for is the local Fox Sports channel even though it seems like you get about 10 different Fox Sports channels and all the games are blacked out.
With Dish Network, I save about $20 a month over cable and I guess the only catch to receive the free system and installation is that you have to sign up for a year.
I am definitely happy with the Dish Network Satellite System and recommend it to all the rest of the people who still have cable.
