I was fed up with the cable company always escalating their prices so I decided to take the leap to satellite. After speaking to friends that already had one, talking to salesmen (not much help), and watching the advertisements for a good price, I made the jump. I called the Dish Network and was given a lower price than expected but they stood behind it. That was honorable. Within 1 year I started experiencing technical problems on the second receiver. Twice after excessive waits on the phone they were able to correct the problem. The third time, they decided the board had failed. My only recourse was to replace it. Having a history of problems, I felt there should have been some sort of discount on a replacement unit. Sorry Charlie!! I am currently having Direct TV install a totally new system.
