Yikes. And now Sprint has purchased Nextel. Sorry, moonbaseone.

Anyone else notice how they're not mentioning "PCS" anymore in their ads? They've always known it was carpy carp carp, too.

Wow! This was definitely a "most helpful review." I've been looking around for the best cellular provider, and now I know to avoid Sprint. Thanks!

Sprint Sucks. (Reply to this comment)

I tried Sprint service for ONE DAY. And returned my phone and cancelled service the very next day, well within the 14 Day risk-free period. However, they have since billed me upwards of $90 for activation fee and other charges. Calling Sprint and waiting onhold for long stretches has not gotten me anywhere. The Sprint supervisors are satisfied that they have me by my throat and there's nothing I can do about it but pay or risk hurting my credit. Sprint contracts are a scam and their representatives are dishonest. Listen to this guy's review. If you value your time and your money don't do business with Sprint!

After reading your review on SprintPCS I completely agree with you and there are thousands more as well. I recently had Sprint service bought one of their expensive phones --had great service and clarity for a little while. I lived in Nashville, TN then moved to Phoenix,AZ. Well of course I had to change numbers when I moved which took weeks due to the customer service reps at Sprint who apparently aren't trained on anything not even being courteous. Well the rep who finally changed my number did not add one of my features the Sprint to Sprint plan where you can talk unlimited to other Sprint PCS customers, so i get my bill and it's over $200-$300 I was shocked i knew I had talked to family back home but that was outrageous so i sit on hold with Sprint days and days at a time because no one can ever get through, well a rep tells me that the feature wasn't transfered someone must had made a mistake, well DUH! So simple as it may seem they should just print up a detailed bill and credit me for all the minutes that should have been unlimited --But no that can't be done because someone might get in trouble at Sprint for slipping up, instead they offer me a $10 credit each month for 2-3 months and that is the best they can do. I don't think so! $10 for 2-3 months is only $20 -30 dollars and that doesn't help a bill that is now $300-$400 dollars when my bill is usually only $50(the $49.99 plan) So I cancel service with Sprint and am now currently stuck with fees due to their mistake, so to all who think of purchasing Sprint service Good Luck you will need it.

Death to all things SPRINT!!! (Reply to this comment)

I too had Sprint PCS last year and went through the same problems that you mentioned in your review. I too found epinions after looking for an outlet to complain about Sprints TERRIBLE "Lack" of service. I didn't go as far as to file claims with the BBB, I just researched other cellular companies in my are(Chicago, IL) and decided to go with Nextel. I am now very happy with my new service and VOW NEVER to use any services provided by Sprint EVER again.

I hope you are as happy with Verizon as I am with Nextel.

After reading your comment on my SprintPCS review, I came and read your review, and it made me very glad that I did think to get written verification on my billing problems! I knew going into this that Sprint was pretty bad in relation to customer service, but I had no choice since Verizon wanted an $800 security deposit :P I'll just keep my fingers crossed that I don't ever need to call Sprint again!

Found your epinion through Aaron Coffin's trusted folks...... I am with you all the way on this. I agree with Aaron, that it is definitely not worth the money. You pay so much and you should be able to get some reliable service through it....BUT YOU DON'T!!!
Anyways.... Good for you that you went the extra step and complained to the BBB.

I have Sprint, I have the same problems, and I HATE THEM!!!! The biggest kick in the face is that I pay $49.99 for 500 nationwide minutes (which works half the time in downtown Boston) yet they advertise it on TV for $35 for 1500 minutes. I called to tell them I wanted that and they told me I have to be a new customer. I'm a current customer. Why aren't I more important? So anyway, great opinion. I know your pain all too well.
