DVD Is The In Thing!

Aug 31 '00

If you have yet to purchase a DVD played for your home entertainment center then you have no clue what your missing when you watch a home movie. With DVD you get the best picture & sound possible that rivals any VCR. The sound is so clear that when you watch a movie with rain in the background you almost think it is actually raining in the room. The picture is especially sharp & crisp compared to any VCR picture that I have ever encountered. Especially if you hook up your DVD player through the Super VHS connection to your VCR.
Only downside I have with the DVD player is that you can not yet purchase one that you can record with. So, this means you still must have a VCR in your entertainment center to tape movies or TV shows. When they come out with the DVD players that you can watch DVD movies on & record off of them you'll the see DVD sales really taking off. That in my opinion is the only thing holding back DVD sales when customers go out & look to purchase a DVD player.
Some of the best features I like with DVD is how you can see different angles from different shots & different parts of the movie that you can not usually see when you watch a VHS tape. Also, you usually get added bonuses on DVD for different story lines or endings. Over all DVD is great, but until they come out with a recordable DVD player I think a lot of people will hold back from purchasing one.
