| kapurboy's Full Review: Sony Glasstron |
Ever since I saw the movie "True Lies" and saw the sunglasses with the monitor built into them, I have always wanted my own personal theater system. I was surfing the internet and came upon a very cool little toy, the Sony Glasstron.
Well, a few days ago, I ordered a Sony Glasstron PLM-A35 Personal and Portable Monitor. I received it yesterday, and boy, was I amazed. I had never thought of ever seeing a 52" television the size of a pair of sunglasses. Well, I finally saw some, and they are incredible.
First off, it can hook up to any NTSC video source, such as a satellite system, a DVD player, or even a video game system, like a Sega Dreamcast or a Sony Playstation 2. I was really amazed by this, because I could play my all time favorite game, Shenmue, wearing a pair of sunglasses. I could also watch some of my favorite movies, like "The Matrix" or "American Pie" on a 52" television, which is very cool.
The Glasstron is a very cool little toy, but it is not recommended for everyone. There are a ton of warnings on the box and in the instruction manual, especially the one that says you have to be at least 15 years of age to operate it. Also, it can make some people dizzy and/or nauseous. So if your going to buy this as a gift for someone, make sure that they are older than 15 years old and that they do not get motion sickness. Otherwise, I think that everyone should go out and buy a Glasstron.
