I bought these phones a while back ago and have had some time to try them out. I use them mainly for my computer when going to LANs, and to listen to music late at night. What I was looking for was a pair of comfortable phones because I need to be able to wear them for like an entire day without taking them off. These was exactly what I was looking for. For a reasonable price I got the best phones I've ever owned.
I'm not much of a audiophile, so I can't really comment on the sound except for my personal opinion, and that is great. It works perfectly for games, mp3s, and whatever I use them for related to the computer. The phones have a rather different design from most phones. The pads are in fact extremely soft lintpads. This is very comfortable and don't give the burning sensation in the ears after many hours of use. The phones are also extremely open, and that can either be a up or a downside depending on your situation. In my case I often have to sit a place where personal speakers are forbidden and have to wear headphones, but also need to be able to listen to what people are saying around me. This "openes" in the phones let sound pass thru rather easily. They are also loosely attached to the headband to make the best possible fit to your head. However, these pads are also the source of one of the cons I find with my phones. A lot of stuff can get stuck in the lint and they tend to get a little unfresh after a while. So far I haven't discovered a way to take them off and wash them. The loose pads also tend to rattle a little when you take them off, and give everything but a sturdy impression. Be careful with them! Overall they give a very "plastic" feeling.
My final words are as follows:
Great phones for an reasonable price with great sound for the mere mortal non-audiophile and with comfortability to kill for, but they are a little plastic in their feeling and the lintpads get dirty after a while.
