We got our Directv system over a year ago. I bought it for my husband as a Christmas gift, as he is a sports fanatic, and had heard that Directv has the best selection of sports. He installed it himself, with very little problems, and we are really happy with it. When we got our system, we got three free months of service for the silver package, and one free month of the movie channels. We are now hooked on all the channels, and still subscribe to all of them. We do have lost the signal occasionally, due to weather problems, but it is pretty reliable. The dish is in the yard, and isn't as noticeable as a large dish would be. The box is also small and takes up less room than a vcr. It is well worth the money for the system, but their package prices are a little high.
