| syzslak's Full Review: MPTrip MP3-CD Player |
When I heard about this product, I jumped out of my seat, and here's why:
conventional (and I use the term loosely) portable mp3 players cost around 200 dollars and only store 64 minutes of music, at most. I never understood why anyone would buy one, and I never knew anyone who did. I said someone should combine a disc man with one of these products, and I'd be willing to pay the cost of both products combined. Then this MpTrip came along selling exactly what I wanted for 1/3 what I expected.
The reason I waited 3 months before buying it was because the online merchant did not look very reputable. I finally bought the MpTrip on www.easybuy2000.com. They only sell 8 products, their website is still incomplete (the link to order tracking said "coming soon"), and they did not ask if I wanted it shipped to an address other than the billing address.
So how is the product? Pros: it does read CD's and CD-ROM's, most of the time. That's what I paid for, and it was a bargain
Cons: It broke after 2 days of use. I returned it for replacement, and easybuy's customer support was very friendly, though the tech support hadn't heard of my problem. I just got the replacement, which works fine, but I shudder to think what will happen if it breaks after the 30 day warranty expires. I don't think it will break again, but I would not have bought it if I didn't plan to get my money's worth from six months or so of use.
