| kiquoa's Full Review: Kenwood KDC-8011 |
I can't imagine that car sterios get much better than this otherwise they'd be installed in people's living rooms. Sure, I'm a first time car owner and first time car sterio owner by default but I got lucky this time around with my first stab at a car sterio. The good folks at circuit city (my recommended mass electronics retailer) helped me pick it out and told me no lies. I was admiring this unit's great sound even before I realized the front speakers in my car were not engaged.
Spacifically Kenwood has brought us their ususal excellence in an easily accessible sterio that can be thoroghly personlized. It matters not if you need a tape deck, cd-player, both, or a disk-changer. The disk and tape slots are behind the removable faces and are therefor easier to keep clean while saving a bit of space. The multitude of buttons offer a music environment of your exact choosing. The "quick-quiet" button is especially nice when passing through a drive through or trying to find out where an ambulance is coming from.
The buttons. Nothing is perfect, my friends. There are simply too many buttons, a hinderance especially in the beginning. Attatching the face is a little tricky as well, I'm afraid that I'll break it sometimes.
I enjoy my car sterio. It is better than the sterio in my house. I take naps in my car.
