I live in Clearwater, FL. Here I have had the pleasure of using both both Time Warner Communications and the newer GTE Americast. They are priced about the same, but Americast gives the consumer many more options and services. Americast is a relatively new service that only has the operating area of about 20% of the United States. So, many people are not able to recieve this wonderful cable service.
Americast has one of the most simple operating instructions I have ever seen. There is a state of the art guide that will show the viewer everything that is on every channel and gives you a great desrciption of each program. It also has the name and info for programs up to 10 days in advance. Americast comes with over 100 channels on their basic service. If you want you can order up to 30 movie channels through different types of packages or you can buy a single movie on Express Cinema. Express Cinema is the equivalent of Pay-per-View. But this is cheaper and there are more channels. There are about 45 Express Cinema channels that can show up to 45 different movies, sporting programs, and speciality programs.
The Americast Customer Service department is one of the best in the business. Twenty-four hours a day and will help you with any problem you have
