| Logster55's Full Review: Sony MHC-RXD2 Bookshelf Audio System |
Hello, I wanted to share my experiance with my Sony product.
"Specs"
Three CD disk changer
Two tape decks
Tuner
Three "music" setting, Pop, Rock, and Classic
Record, pause, and CD sync
Two speakers, unattached
I have had mine for 13 months. First thing that broke, was the CD player, It would not play CDs any longer. I purchased a CD cleaner that did not work, so I called about getting it fixed. I got a recording telling me it would cost more to get it fixed than buying a new one.
I took it apart and cleaned the eye by hand! How hard was that? VERY. This product is made very cheaply, I did manage to get it put back together though.
SPEAKERS: The sound is ok. I lived in a apartment and got complaints from the neighbors, so it must have been "sorta" ( sorry for the tech term ) loud. I have since moved into a house and the sterio doesn't sound that good now. You get what you pay for. I was not happy that the speakers are made of particle board, not plastic, and is NOT very movable. A small system like this I think should be able to go with you sometimes.
In closing, It is a ok system. The sound is "OK" nothing special, I would recommend maybe using this in a garage... Not your designated sound system, even for the money, I have had a better system for less, although the 3 CD changer is nice. There also is a remote, that is a nice feature.
I say either buy a stackable system, or buy a "boombox" this is not enough of either. Thanks for reading this
