I just couldn't wait to get on the satellite bandwagon. Everyone I knew that had it just loved it. So when we moved I decided I really wanted a satellite and talked my husband into getting the system. Well it has been the worst mistake that we have made. Because of the cable system having the monopoly regarding local channels. We are unable to get the local channels as of yet. Because we are not in a large enough market area. They did just pass a bill allowing satellite systems to carry local channels, but not all of the market areas can get it at the moment.

We have 10 movie channels with the satellite which sounds great. But they still play the same movies over and over again. You have a lot of options with the pay per view, but if I wanted to do that I would just rent the movie at the same cost. Also you generally limited to one television. You can pay for another receiver at $100. Then pay additional charges every month. All I have to say is when our contract is up we're going cable.
