Always Needs Repair

Dec 13 '99

I have owned many Aiwa products. Their car and portable equipment seems to hold up well but their home stereo systems break down. I have had to have my home stereo fixed 4 times since I bought it. The last three times it took 4 weeks to get it back. While I was at the store that I purchased the product there was two people in front of me with the same stereo with the same problem. Problems: CD player will just quit after making terrible grinding sounds, if turned up to a adequate jamming level it shorts out, and the tape decks will not listen to each other for dubbing. If you are looking for a cheap stereo that is disposable after a year or two this is the product for you, if you are looking to purchase a product that will last, look past the Aiwa and buy a JVC or a Sony.
