Having 2 small children makes watching TV a hit-or-miss activity. Most shows are interrupted several times, and some are missed entirely. Phones ring, bathrooms call, kids scream -- it's nerve wracking.
Enter Tivo. It makes time go away. Literally. You can stop now, start later, skip commercials (yay!), archive to video tape, and set your own schedule. You can tell it what you like and it'll find more of it for you. You can ask it to record all episodes of any show, and it'll look for them on all channels, 24x7. It works well with my digital cable box, and is a cinch to set up and use. It's reliable, relatively small, quiet, and effective. It's so easy to use, the kids can do it, and they're only 6 and 9 respectively.
Anyone that likes to watch TV of any sort should get one of these. Your life will never be the same!
