I bought these Yamaha speakers several years ago with my first computer and I have been very happy with them since then.

First off, let me warn you- these are by no means audiophile speakers (as if you couldn't tell by the price). But if you're looking for a decent, fairly cheap set to play mp3s from, I'd highly recommend these. Why? They just look great. A nice grayish color, cloth-covered fronts... lacking any other standards when I bought them, this was what reeled me in. And the sound? No complaints. No hissing. I'm happy.

I could use a subwoofer though.
