I did all the checking for months before I made this major purchase when it first came out.I paid $800 complete system still cheaper than yearly cable bill.
What I found was this company was alot cheaper than Direct Tv because with Direct tv there are two major networks that have to be gone threw for service you pay for while with Dish network they could sell there programming at wholesale to consumers.
Dish network was not only cheaper but also was voted #1 by Consumer reports and JD powers and Associates in customer service.
I loved the clearness of the programming it looked crystal clear in comparision to the cable we had.
We recived more for our money 30 channels more, I was paying $60.00 in Colorado for basic and now I could for $19.99 A month have quadrauple channels.
Customer service staff was excellent. You could order movies at the touch of a button.
The best feature I think is the brief summary and rating you get when you push a button so if you were to walk in on a movie late you would know when it began and ended and if it was something you would be intrested in.
The only thing I did not like is when it rained I lost programming other than that it was fantastic.
