I don’t know much about little stereo’s but I do know something about the JVC FS-V5. I know that I love this little guy. It has all that I could possible want in a stereo and nothing more. I am not a huge fanatic that needs a stereo with some absurd amount of amplification to blow my entire dorm out. I am someone that loves to listen to music at a reasonable level. The FS-V5 comes with two speakers that have great sound quality and just the right amount of volume. I use this stereo mostly for my own enjoyment and to listen to soft music while I do a little homework. If your looking to entertain a party of 500 click "next" now. This baby plays fairly loud music but nothing to extreme. If I am describing a boom-box like the ones that first came out in the 80’s I apologize. This stereo is nothing like it. It has amazing sound for its size. It sounds like a top of the line stereo or better, I kid you not. When I brought it up to school my friends laughed at me. That lasted for about a week until they were quizzing me where I got it and how much it coast. Although none of them have gotten one, they all said it would be the next stereo they would purchase. I want to add that for some strange reason all my friends thought it was cool to have the largest most loud stereo in the dorm. I on the other hand, I felt it was more important to have room for a bed than two humungus speakers. This little stereo will treat you right, no doubt !!!
