Get digital - it pays for itself in the long run.

Digital phones as compared to analog phones are more expensive to buy - but less expensive to maintain. My digital service plan gives me 250 minutes for $19.99 a month as compared to the same companies analog pricing at 75 minutes for 19.99 a month.

Digital phones (in my calling plan) get greater access and fewer roaming fees. The calls are clearer and the quality of the phones is superior. My digital phone has lasted through 3 of my wife's analog phones.

The only complaint about my digital phone is that there is more of an upfront fee than the free analog phones - BUT what you save in the long run with the savings on the calling plans is well worth it.
