If you read my first epinion on this topic, you know that we've been fighting with Verizon for awhile now about their overcharges on our bills. I had finally decided I had enough, I wasn't arguing with them anymore over a few dollars.
My husband decided he was going to make them pay us the money they owe us, so he decided to call customer service yesterday. When he was in the middle of explaining the problem to the person on the phone, they interrupted and said "but you got a credit", totally not listening to what he said.
He had to explain the problem and why the bill was wrong several times to the person, who kept telling him the bill was right and that he was wrong. Now remember, we are disputing a few dollars. Do you think it's really good business practices to call the customer a liar several times over A FEW DOLLARS???? I don't.
Finally, after much arguing, he finally got the guy to give us the money they owe us. No apology, no promise it won't happen again, no nothing. My husband thought the guy probably didn't even believe him and just finally gave him the credit to shut him up. Great business practices there.
Of course, we are DONE with Verizon wireless. There aren't a whole lot of companies around here that aren't Verizon because they took over everyone. But we will be switching to Cellular One tomorrow. And I bet that when we call Verizon to cancel they won't even care. Some customer service.
