More than worth it

Last summer I bought the CDM 7838-R, and it has made being in the car so much more enjoyable. In my opinion, in-dash players are nicer than changers because an amplifier is not necessary (as it would be with a changer, to decrease the resonance of feedback and line noise), the sound is just as good (though not as loud, admittedly), and an in-dash may be as much as a few hundred dollars cheaper.
Here are some of the features:
40W x 4 amp
Remote Control (not necessary, but cool nonetheless...)
24 Presets
Detach reminder
plus all of the usual goodies that come with these things like increased bass, choice of color, etc. Check out www.alpine1.com if you want to get very in-depth detail.
Alpine is a market leader in the car audio industry and a satisfied customer like me is one reason why. Never had a problem with it in extreme cold or extreme heat. The detachable face is nice - theft is not a problem. This system actually makes your factory speakers sound pretty good.
Buy at Circuit City and they will perform free installation in most cities.
