| dmorton's Full Review: Rotel RB-991 Power Amplifier |
This amp is one of the best 2 channel amps around. It has 200 watts per channel, which is enough to satisfy any demand from any speaker. It is set for the future containing balanced inputs and RCA inputs. The sound is clean and crisp. This amp lets the music do the talking.
The binding posts allow for spade, straight wire, and banana plugs. The cord is heavy duty and will last the life of the amplifier. It also employs a toroidal approach to amplification. The chassis is heavy duty. This is no lightweight power amp. It's around 40 lbs. It is solid and very eye appealing as well.
The only negative is that you cannot operate this amp with a remote control. One must push the power button on the amp itself or have the amp plugged into a switched outlet that will trigger "on" when another component is turned on.
