This is a good deal. I have done a lot of research before buying my first real CD player. I had a tight budget (looking for a $200-300 range). There are many CD players in the market for this price range. Sony, NAD, marantz, etc. I almost already made my decision to buy sony CDP535 5cd
changer. Then I happened to see this unit on one website. The price is the reason I decided to go with it. Also of course, the review for cc48 is not bad.

It does not make me feel even a little disappointed. The CD changer is smooth. Without much noise and delay. The remote is kind slim but ok for me. I don't like a big universal remote either. The cd text is smaller as a lot of reviews pointed, not easy to see which cd is playing.

I like the sound. Although my wife think it is a little rigid. I guess it depends on the CD quality as well. For me that is what I want.
