I saw this camera in the new Nieman-Marcus catalog and had to have it. The next day I went down to a local store and got the clerk to pull it out of the back room. I immediately started playing with it finding out it's strong and weak features.
Thoughts on the camera:
This is the lightest most portable camera I've ever seen. The whole unit is about the size of a fat white-board pen.
The picture quality is very dependant on lighting conditions. bright lights cause wash-outs and reflections, and it just beeps "No" in too dark a place.
The 42 seconds of low quality video is actually better than I expected. A little jerky but viewable.
The software is easy to install and I have had no problems using it as a web cam on my system.
It's really inexpensive.
The software takes a minute to figure out if you don't read the documentation.
The documentation is better than expected for this price range.
The bottom line is, You're not going to get any of these pictures printed out on photo paper and framed, but it's great to carry with you in a shirt pocket, "just in case."
