I'm not going to gripe about AT&T's poor reception and difficult customer service reps (you've already seen that in the 50+ other reviews here).
But if you're like me - stuck on an annual plan with AT&T's horrible cellular service - then, you'll do anything to find a way to get back at the company (unfortunately it's too late to join the class action lawsuit).
While this isn't total justice, it brings me partial satisfaction.
1. Call customer service and ask to speak to a customer retention manager.
2. When connected with the customer retention manager, gripe about the horrible coverage and threaten to terminate service.
3. They'll bring up that you have an annual plan - and start giving you the schpiel about how much the coverage has improved.
4. Stop'em in their tracks. Tell them that the coverage still stinks but you'll give them one more chance - ask for a one month credit for your troubles.
Sound serious about terminating your plan. I got my credit pretty easily.
While this is still no solution for bad coverage, at least you'll hit AT&T in its pocketbook.
