I believe we got a really great deal on our RCA direct t.v. dish and installation kit. It was 49.99 for the whole thing! The option was also to receive the entire movie package,($80), free for 2 months for signing up for the 29.99 package!
The clarity is excellent! The installation was easy and the channels are far better than what the local cable company offers for around the same cost per month.
It also gives you the option of pay per view movies, which has saved us a ton in late fees from the local video store! :) There have been quite a few free pay per view events also. The movies are equal to New Releases at the video store.
You can subscribe to the local channels but they might not be from your city. They only have a few big cities that are available through the satellite. They explain that they are working to get more and more cities connected! So what it means is as you are flipping through the satellite channels your local ones aren't there. You have to turn the direct t.v. off and then switch over to t.v. This is all easily done through the remote. It is also very self explainitory to program the remote.
There is also an e-mail option but because we have no need for it we haven't attempted it!
There are a ton of sports options also!
