Satellite TV is clearer, less expensive, and affords a better selection than cable TV including The New Digital Cable.
Direct TV is Broadcasting Digital Dolby on some of their movies and Starz is broadcasting some ac-3 Dolby.
The installation is very easy and direct TV phone contacts are very courteous.
Due to a large number of new customers there is a problem getting to talk to the operators but this is being corrected by setting up additional offices and operators.
One problem worked on with their tech support section, amazed me by the company calling me back to ensure the problem was corrected to my satisfaction. This never happened with Cable.
I have now 4 satellite receivers on 2 LNBs in my home and am very satisfied with the equipment performance and programming.
Three receivers are Hughes and one Sony AC-3.
I have installed over 40 units with no major problems encountered.
The installation kit was well thought out and very easily utilized.
