harman/kardon - the best
Apr 14 '00
I have been using various receivers and amps for years (it helps that my dad is an ex-DJ). When I was very young, a friend of my dad introduced me to a brand of stereo equipment called harman/kardon. That was the beginning of my love of their products.
When I finally got enough money, I went out and bought one of their receivers. harman/kardon products are very good in quality and it was no surprise to me that the receiver I bought was better than any other that I used before. Just looking at the harman/kardon, you can tell that it is a very professional quality product. The internal components are very well wired and look heavy-duty, like what a Sony ES looks like. The back is well organized and easy to hook-up.
Enough about looks and design. What you buy an receiver for is audio quality. So I finally got around to testing the audio quality by watching a DVD on headphones. Why headphones? I use headphones as a reference because are not influenced by environmental variables and are pretty stable in sound quality. The sound from the harman/kardon was remarkably clean with absolutely no line noise. I then tested the harman/kardon on a relatively good pair of speakers with the same result.
The harman/kardon produced the best sound quality of all the receivers I have tested. They proved durable and were able to handle all the demanding requirements of my various tests. The only problem I see with harman/kardons are their price. The price is enough to scare average buyers. But for the one, they are a good price for what they are.
