Simply by accident, I decided to throw a set of CMS-2's onto my purchase of a Sony STRDE935 A/V reciever. When I heard the CMS-2's for the first time, I was astounded. I realize that the AMP is also part of the equation but these speakers are SO dynamic.
I grew up with my dad being an Audiophile, we just didn't own anything "sony or infinity" it was Warfdale, Aragon, Thiel, Mod Squad, Klien. I grew up listening to class "A" audiophile grade sound. I really wasn't expecting much from these speakers, just nice additions to my TV. Boy was I shocked. These speakers with a Digital Dolby reciever and a good DVD movie are AMAZING ! seriously. The sound is much more detailed than my local Digital dolby equipt cinema complex.
