I do not know, maybe it is just my "luck" but this phone is not the greatest. I have had it for about a year know. It is great since it is compatible with the call waiting caller id mix. But that function does not work with mine. I have talked with my phone company a couple of times about it and they said it should work since I have both. My caller id works and call waiting works but not together. Or should I say did work! It is supposed to give a battery low signal it did not. It just shut down. Every once in a while it would not allow me to use the phone at all because it flashes "out of range" and I could be maybe a foot away from the base. I cannot suggest that you do not buy the phone because I am sure that I just got a messed up one and I don't feel like going through the hassle of getting it fixed. It would be a great phone, just make sure it works first thing in 24hrs after charging.
