I must start off saying that I hate Verizon with a passion. I know that this is a harsh word, but they are terrible. All of their per-minute plans really are not competitive. The industry average in Phoenix is anywhere from $29 to $39 per month for un-limited minutes, or at least 250 minutes.
With verizon I saw some plans that were not even cose to competitive in nature. When you run out of minutes watch out! The per-minute rate was something crazy like 39 cents per minute after you used the plan minutes up for the month. You need to sign a two year commitment, and if you are late on a payment they want to shut you down almost without notice.
Only thing that I can add to this is that Verizon is way over priced for phone services in the Phoenix area. My point is why subscribe to a service that requires you to pay for extra minutes when there are a ton of other providers out there with a lot better call plans to chose from.
I wanted to write this review about how great VoiceStream is, but I did not see it as one of the providers to write about so I chose to tell others why I switched from Verizon to VoiceStream.
I think that the major thing here is that you are paying more for the name and not getting any better quality plans or service for the money. Why would one want this service if that is the case then?
All in all I say for the money you get more features with VoiceStream. I have since changed to voicestream and I love it.
