| Chino0k's Full Review: General Reviews of AT&T Customer Service |
Obviously, one wireless plan will not fit every person: but for me AT&T fits my needs quite well. Working for a nationwide construction company and traveling full time, my number one priority is coverage. This means coast to coast with no roaming and no long distance, even outside of the major metropolitan areas.
In the three years I have subscribed to AT&T I have always been impressed with the ability to place and receive calls from almost any populated area at no extra charge. In my home state of Washington I receive better service than my friends who are on local calling plans because there is no charge to connect the call through Canadian cell sites if their signal happens to be stronger.
On the downside, all of this convienence isn't cheap, but a friend of mine tipped me off to the fact that AT&T will let you change between the different levels of the One Rate plan depending on how many minutes you used during a particular month. I have actually been given a credit after a bill has been paid simply for calling customer service and switching plans, only to switch back to my original plan the following month.
Being in construction it shouldn't be a surprise that I have a problem with destroying a phone or two: currently I am on number four. Exchanges through customer service have been painless, always with a new phone overnighted to me with a postage paid, self addressed box for the old one to be sent back in. So far I have only had to purchase one phone, (which was obviously abused), and the price was added to my monthly bill.
Overall, I recommend AT&T wireless to anyone who is willing to pay for the ability to connect nationwide and doesn't want the added hassles or expense of roaming and long distance charges.
