Satellite T.V. is a big improvement over cable television. The picture clarity and sound quality is much better than cable. The programming choices are outstanding compared to traditional cable broadcasters.
I have had a dish for about 5 years now. Rarely has there ever been a loss of signal and that is only during the biggest of storms. It is 99.99 percent reliable.
I liked the Sony product more than the RCA product, Dish network was not available when I first bought the dish. The main difference between Sony and RCA is the program menu and ease of use in channel surfing. I found Sony to be superior to RCA in that aspect. The price is ridiculously low for what you receive. You pay about the same as cable but much better quality and control over what you want to watch, be it movies, sports or general programing.
