After many days of looking at this plan and that plan from every mobile phone provider in the Cleveland area, we agreed that Airtouch was right for us. We got a good deal and a free star tac digital phone as well as activiation when we signed on the dotten line. The Digital 600 plan was what we signed up for in the Regional Service package. We also got free nights and weekends.

We have now had the phone for a year and until now the service has been exceptional. However about 3 weeks ago when I was in a car accident and used it to call for help, the phone let me down. The service was less than acceptable and I could barely hear anyone else, let alone anyone being able to hear me. Then I got the bill, it had calls on there that I didn't even make because they were originating at the same time and lasting longer than a 10 minutes. The total for just the calls that I didn't make was $13.00. The one phonecall that I made only cost me $4.00. You heard me right, $4.00 for one call lasting 7 minutes. That is ridiculous and I called Airtouch to tell them so. I was blessed with getting a nice operator who understood where I was coming from. However she didn't have the authority to give me a credit on the bill.

I was transferred to another department and was told that since I was using the phone at the time I probably picked up someone else's call bouncing off a tower and was billed for it. I asked that it be taken off and she said that since you can't prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that I didn't make the calls, she couldn't do anything about it.

Well I called back again and talked to someone else but obviously it was now on the account and no one will help me. I have 2 years left in the service agreement and all I can say is I want out! This is ridiculous that I have to pay for calls that I didn't make.

If you are considering wireless service choose someone like GTE or Sprint because from what I know, they give you decent service for a decent price.
