| that's Full Review: Aiwa XM-M33 Bookshelf Audio System |
Going through the stereo aisles at best buy you're surrounded by big, black, pounding boxes. All blaring the same pop radio station through their five speakers and one subwoofer. Its quite a headache. But at the end of all the rubble you find the pretty stereos.
These aren't the stereos that go in your teenager's room (they want the big black ones), these are the stereos that go in your office. Now because of the fact that they are made for an older group these stereos are a bit more expensive, but if you're like me (a college student that just wants a nice looking stereo) then you will surely find the aiwa.
My MX-33 was 170 at best buy. There was a sale for all aiwas I believe and originally it was still under 200. I could have gotten one of the black boxes with all 80 watts of booming action, but I realized that I didn't really need all that power. I wasn't going to have a party in my room, I just wanted to hear good music through a good acoustic system.
At first I was a bit skeptical. I always thought the more watts the better, but I soon learned that was not true. The other higher end systems that were near the aiwa were also on the low wattage scale yet had a price tag of 300+. They were very pretty but they were concentrating more on the quality of sound rather than how loud it could be.
I admit though I'm not an expert on stereos, i just buy what I like and what I need. This is a great product if you need a nice player for an office or a bedroom that looks pretty and sounds good.
For quality sound there is an input for digital devices like an md player. Of course there's a regular aux input for your computer or other devices such as a tv. It is the pretty brother of all the other aiwas that you may love.
One comment on aiwas though, most of my friends that have purchased aiwas have noticed that their cd players have died on them within two years. I have not owned mine for that long, but if it does happen to me, I'll be sure to inform you.
That's all for now! Thanks for reading!
