Boom, Boom Bang--(but buyer beware!)

I love my little Aiwa NSX-A888. It fills my living room with Verdi and makes my war movies sound like the real thing. But...you need your private pilot's license to run all of the "features".
First and foremost, I like my machine. I live in a modest apartment and this stereo is the perfect size. My classical music sounds wonderful on it (they say this genre is the best way to test the quality of your sound system because of the drastic dynamics). I have it plugged into my TV/VCR (and soon my DVD) and the sound is great. OK so it isn't THX, but it's good. Overall, it is a good little device.
However, there are so many stupid gadgets and "features" on this this you'd think it could solve the problem of cold fusion. Their are so many different settings on the equalizer, I don't recognize half of them. it has some kind of game on it they it constantly want to play. The remote control is a nightmare and the unit itself glows like a Christmas tree. Also, my brother had one for two years and then the thing just died. I've had mine for just about a year so we'll see...
