Toshiba DVD is the Way to Go

Jan 02 '00

If you are a movie fan, DVD technology is the way to go. I was a little skeptical at first. I was very content with my Sony VCR, the picture quality was good and so was the sound, but after experiencing DVD... I am hooked. My friend gave me a Toshiba DVD player for my birthday, and I am glad he did because I am watching it all the time. The difference in quality between a DVD and a video can be compared to a record and CD. The DVD prices are dropping constantly and the amount of extras included with most DVD's are mind blowing. I recently bought an Austin powers 2 DVD. In addition to the movie, the dvd contains a full length audio commentary with the star (Mike Meyers), a 30 minute behind the scenes look at the film, a 25 minute reel of deleted scenes, and a Dr. Evil parody Biography. It is amazing what they can fit on the disc the size of a cd.

I have had no problems with my dvd player in the 14 months that I have had it, and that is a longer stretch than my household VCR's. Toshiba makes a good product.
