This CD radio Cassette-Corder by Sony is an amazing invention. It can either be plugged in or work with batteries. The boom box can play Cd's, tapes, or radio. You can also record songs from the radio onto tapes. You have a chance to save 20 FM radio stations and 10 AM stations. A little "st" will appear in the bottom left-hand corner when a definite radio station is found. There is an antenna to tune the radio station when you find one you like.
The CD player is pretty good, but, at first, it makes a little annoying sound when the CD is starting up. Also, the boom box is a little heavy to lift up and hard to carry around, although it does have a handle.
The device comes with a remote that needs batteries. However, all the needed buttons are on the system itself if you don't like to use the remote. My daughter spent hours listening and recording music, and if you have a teenage child, I think he/she will love this boom box!
