I was at first confused by the large selection of DVD players available in my area. I decided to go with SONY because of my past experiences with the brand's reliability and superiority over comparable products. I was not disappointed in my selection. While I have yet to fully take advantage of all the options available to me, the thing that makes this player one of the best is the way it plays DVDs. Most of my friends players will come across scratches or other bad places in a DVD and just not play it, this does not; it simply ignores what it can't read and goes on. It does this without any major disruption. We once tried three different players, mine was the only one that would fully play the DVD. The only bad thing I have seen so far is that the only way you can tell if another angle is available is by being close enough to the LCD screen on the actual player to see the little "angle" word light up. Besides that, it was one of the best purchases I have ever made and I am known for my "Magical DVD Player".
