I bought this lens two months ago and I can say without a second thought that this lens is outstanding. Forget the 1:1 macro. Forget the super, super, sharpness. Think of the price. I am a huge Nikon fan but I have to say, go with the Sigma. The Nikon 105mm is double the price and in trying them both I'll take the Sigma. Also a plus is the Sigma Ex finish which is resistant to scratches. The only down point is sometimes the AF hunts a bit. But all in all you can't go wrong with this lens.
