| redthree57's Full Review: Motorola StarTAC ST7760 CDMA / AMPS Cellular Phone |
With cellular phones and service becoming such a thriving market these days, purchasing a cellular phone can almost be like buying a car. With so many different styles, types, names, and models it can be quite a task when choosing which one to buy. I would definitely recommend putting the Motorola Star Tac 7760 at the top of your list of prospects because of the following reasons.
1) It is a very compact phone, allowing you to take it almost anywhere. Whether you are carrying it on your waste, putting it in your pocket, or putting it in your purse. It's size and weight make it very easy to carry around as opposed to those heavier and bulkier phones.
2) Another plus is it's "vibracall feature" which ensures you are never unaware of a call or a message, even if you are in the middle of a meeting.
3) It has tremendous battery life, especially if you attach the optional second battery that clips on to the back of the phone.
4) It is also what is called a CDMA phone, meaning that it can switch from a digital mode to an analog mode. This ensures that the phone can work almost anywhere.
5) One unusual feature that I have found concerning my phone is that it is quite a conversation piece. Not a day or two goes by that someone with a phone like mine or someone who is interested in purchasing a Star Tac starts up a conversation with me about it.
6) I suppose what could be most appreciated about this phone is it's miscellaneous features such as it's date/time display, clear easy to read screen, lighted screen and keypad, retractable antenna, ninety-nine personalized phone number capacity, and it's keypad locking capability.
I have owned four other good cell phones, but I must say that out of all the others this has been my favorite. I must be completely honest and say that there are a coupe of things that could be better about the phone. First of all, is it's reception. I do know for sure that it is not my cellular service provider's fault, but rather the phone's that causes the phone to sometimes fade in and out when going under a power line or a bridge. I also wish that the caller ID would display while the phone is ringing or once I flip the phone open when recieving a call. Other than these small things I think it is a good phone and I highly recommend it.
