Watching the tube has never been better!

We used to subscribe to the local cable company and received 32 channels. We were happy with the service and quality of our viewing, until they changed hands. Another cable company came in and bought out our old one, and before long things were running smoothly. A few changes here and there, the biggest being our bill went up a few dollars. Not a big deal though as we were still happy. Until one day, yet another, bigger company bought out Bresnan, and some changes had been made. Our bill now went from $28 a month to $34 a month! The new company is called Charter, and when prices hiked that high I decided it was time to change to some other form of TV watching!
Direct Tv is the way!
Our new choice was Direct TV, which included a satellite dish and receiver. Our veiwing is around 50 channels, for $21 a month. Quite a difference from the old way! We are as happy with the quality as we were with the cable, and the bill is much cheaper. For the first month they even gave us all the movie channels on a trial basis. The down fall is I had to purchase the dish which was around $100, and now can only watch one TV. No more lazing around on a Saturday night in bed watching TV until all hours of the morning! But this makes us watch television as a family, and I can keep an eye on what the kids are watching as well.
The dish was easy to install, with minimal time spent. The hardest part was trying to "tune" it in. It has to be just perfect, or you will not get good reception. Also during a rain, wind, or snow storm the reception is lousy, and next to nil at times. Which is bad if there is something you want to watch during this time. It can get irritating.
Over all we are happy with this system. The price is right, and most of the time the viewing is great! I even have most of the old channels I had back when I was on cable.
